POLINDIA has been in existence since 1952 when it started off its activities as the Indian arm of POLISH OCEAN LINES. Upon taking over by Indian interests in 2001, the company ventured into chartering and operation of ships as well as other logistics activities.
The company has now been joined by a strategic partner. With the backdrop of goodwill attained and experience gained and looking at various opportunities thrown open by the evolving business environment, the present management has decided to take the company beyond pure shipping activities. Accordingly the company Board of Directors have been reconstituted to meet this new challenge and in keeping with the new business model the name of the company has been changed to POLINDIA PROJECTS LTD.
The world economy in general and booming Indian economy in particular have opened up new vistas and opportunities in marine related infrastructure amongst others. The demand/supply scenario and growth potential for ships have made order books of shipyards all over the world full for the foreseeable future. Realising the potential and opportunities thrown open by this sector, the company have ventured into building shipyard at Sachana, Gujarat (West Coast of India). Presently the company is giving final touches to the project and also working on converting the whole project into a Maritime Technology Park consisting of Captive Port, Auxiliary Units, Maritime Training Institutes, IT Solutions for Shipyard Industry, etc.
Another area being tapped by the management is port development. Unprecedented economic growth and projections show need for more port facilities in the country to sustain throughput of ever increasing cargo movement both in the east and west coast of India. Taking cue from this unprecedented demand for port infrastructure, the company has bid for development of Navlakhi port in Gujarat which is under process by the government.
The company is also venturing into other areas in infrastructure support viz. construction of roads, bridges, rail, townships etc by forming suitable consortium with players in the respective field with proven track record.
The company’s board of directors and advisors are professionals with diverse background and experience with proven track record in their respective fields. This is amply augmented by an excellent team of professionals in the company with long experience in marine related field. It is therefore a logical step for the company to venture into consultancy services. The company has therefore set up its own consultancy company as a subsidiary. |

Mr. A.K. Mishra : Chairman
He is the CEO & Chairman of Vision Corporation Ltd. Mr. Mishra was a Class I Government Officer from 1983 – 1985, but being a creative person at heart he resigned from his job and joined Asian Television Network. From 1985 – 2001 he worked as a CEO & MD with ATN Channel.
He along with his team ushered the cable network era in India. Desirous of doing something more in 2002, he started his own Media & Entertainment company by the name of Vision Corporation Ltd. Mr. Mishra has directed 2 films and written 5 films. He has conceptualized more then 100 TV serials. From production and direction he then diversified to script writing. He has scripted two Hollywood movies both blockbuster hits and which have won him great acclaim.
A prolific writer, Mr Mishra has authored two Hindi novels. He has 30 years of experience Financial Syndication, Administration and Marketing for Indian and multinational Companies.
Mr. Ashok Gandhi : Vice Chairman
Mr. Gandhi is a complete sports person. His sporting spirit has molded him into an ace entrepreneur. He relocated to Mumbai in 1986 to establish Kaushal Group to market chemicals exclusively in India. With his vast experience he went on to form Growell Resources & Management Pvt. Ltd which deals in bulk commodities. Growell Resources & Management Pvt. Ltd is the flagship company of the Gandhi Group Of Companies. Growell operates in the domestic market and in off-shore trade activities and has been highly successful in marketing fertilizers, minerals, chemicals, finished products and agro-products all over India.
